Short version: Wisp is local-first. There is no account and no sign-up. The app does not collect your personal data, does not track you, and contains no advertising or analytics. Your books, reading progress, and settings stay on your device.
The files you import (TXT, EPUB, PDF), your reading position and speed, bookmarks, and your preferences are stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded to us or to anyone else.
If you choose to buy Wisp Pro, the purchase is processed by Apple and managed through RevenueCat, our subscription provider. RevenueCat receives the purchase/subscription status tied to a randomly generated, anonymous app-user identifier so the app can unlock Pro features and restore purchases. This data is used only for app functionality, is not linked to your identity, and is not used to track you. We never receive your name, email, payment details, or contacts. Wisp is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. It does not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
Because data lives on your device, deleting the app removes your local data. You can manage or cancel a subscription anytime in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device.
